The Boston Arts Consortium for Health hopes to:
- heighten the visibility of the arts as an effective tool in promoting health and wellness with the media, government, business community, and general public.
- position Boston, Massachusetts, & New England as the center of innovative research and practice in the arts and health care.
- broaden and deepen the sources of support for the arts in health care statewide.
BACH, Boston Arts Consortium for Health, was created in 2009 to bring together leaders in the field of arts and healthcare. BACH members meet bi-monthly to share interests and best practices. In October 2010, BACH held its first conference, "The Arts of Compassion," that was hosted by Berklee College of Music and Longwood Symphony Orchestra.
